The government's decision to cut back logging followed a drastic revision of sustainableyield figures, which found timber resources had been significantly overstated.
Mr O'Connor attacked Department of Natural Resources and Environment bureaucrats forgetting the figures so wrong.
He also attacked conservationists for their ongoing campaign against the timber industry,and warned that timber workers would no longer tolerate "workplace invasions" by greensin the forests.
